Kenzo in wrapping and in his full coat

He will be 5 years old and 3 months this Sept 12. It takes about almost 2 years to grow his hair till floor lenght.

It's a very good question. I asked before the same question at the beginning, so we all started from there and there will never be a stupid question

The wrapping is to protect the hair from breaking. Imagine the length of the hair is longer that the body and if you let your yorkie walk without wrapping it, the asphalt will be an abbressive to the hair, so the hair will be broken and it will never grow.

Since Kenzo's hair is longer than his body now, so it's very important to wrap it. There is another technique you can use. You don't have to wrap it all over but you can just put elactics on those long hair as long as it doesn't reach the floor when he walks in order to protect his hair from breaking.

I shaved my dogs when they were puppies... will probably have to wait longer than 2 years... i am already practicing wrapping the coat... sometimes just banding when i get lazy... lol... it's great that kenzo doesn't remove the wrappings... hope my dogs are as good as kenzo...

Well I don't wrap him all the time, sometimes when I'm lazy I am only banding him too, and it's good also as long as his hair doesn't drag when I take him walk outside.

Well I think it's a question of time, when your babies uses to it, they will not remove the wrappings.

thanks... i think i'll be waiting for 2 more years... did you know it took me 2 hours to just wrap her face? lol... my friend told me that when i practice more, the 2 hours will be less...

Don't worry, at the beginning it took me 2 to 3 hours to wrap him all over and now it takes me only 1 to 1 1/2 hours. You'll do it faster one day. Just practice and practice. When his hair is long enough, it'll be easier to wrap her.
