| First thanks for the replies, I really had no idea of a reasonable price range for the microchipping. The vet uses Home Again. He says the local animal services carry a scanner on every truck. If Axel were to be found somewhere, he would immediately be scanned and returned to my house and not even go to the shelter. Any idea if the fee is yearly or one time? Axel has been bebopping around the house this morning, terrorizing anyone and anything that he can find. Now he is under computer desk taking a nap. I will have to post some pics of all my furbabies, 4 dogs, 2 cats. linda |

| Welcome to the Biewer family I have two along with my Yorkies. I have all mine Micro chipped. Home again is the one used most by AKC and they work closely with home recovery. It's the only one that AKC will register with their registry. Avid is also very good one but the best is called Resque by Bayer. the advantage people also aspirin people. It does not have a yearly fee and the best part of this one is it can be scanned by both national and international scanners. The other two can't. Check around. Bayer offered a special deal to the vets and they got them a greatly reduced price than the other two companies. We've been using them in our clinic for about a year now with no problems and even have recovered a few dogs with them. Good Luck. Sandi
