| Collapsing Trachea =(... but he's better now... see cute pics! I suspected Chewie had a collapsing trachea because he would get bouts of wheezing and coughing. One morning he continued to cough for hours... i was so scared and cuddled him to calm him down... i could tell he was scared because he couldnt catch his breath and just kept walking around heaving... and he'd give me this sad scared look... =( So i took him to the vet as soon as the office was open and the vet took an x-ray. It's really hard to diagnose a collapsing trachea because it has to be collapsing right at the moment of the x-ray. Some vets never ever see it in an x-ray... but it happened! Lucky for me and Chewie because the vet was able to properly treat him. He gave him a shot of something to make him sleepy to give his throat a rest... and gave me some meds to keep his windpipes open. Poor Chewie... but he's much better now. So my a friend of mine made him a get well card... and i took some pics! There's one where he looks soooo funny because i guess he was making a face and blinked when the flash went off. He looks drunk/high... lol. |

| It's scary to see them try and catch air. Buddy has had a couple of those attacks and I try very hard ,when we're playing, to be careful and not touch his throat. It hasn't happend for sometime but I know what you talking about. Glad Chewie is doing fine now. He's adorable. |

| I would have been very scared to see that in Suzi. Thankfully, the vet was able to see it, and now can be treated. Chewy is absolutely precious. I like the first picture. He is smiling
