What I did was show her MY smile and said to her - let me see YOUR smile - then I gently touched the corners of her mouth and in 2 days she was doing it on her own - Now ....if I ask to see her 'smile' - she smiles just like that picture

Cool! Right now Nahla does it on her own, but pretty often, so hopefully it will be easy to train her to the cue word "smile!". I'll do my best to teach Raja in the manner you described... he doesn't really aim to please anyone but himself
but when he snarls his teeth in play I double over in hysterics bc his grin is hilarious! Would be a great pay off if he learns it!
