| Changing colors once again How many times can a Yorkie change color's? Buddy is 4 and is changing once again. His beautiful black velvety back is turning golden! This seems to have happened over the winter and it's coming in fast now! He was black, silver, black again and now this. Do you think he will be all golden in time? 1. Before 2. Now |

| He looks like he has what is called "running gold". I doubt if he will ever go completely gold, but he might get more and more gold hairs in the blue areas as he get older. |

| It's so neat to watch them constantly changing like that. Ruthie's coat is still changing and she's 2. I keep her hair long so you can see each 'change'. She went from black, to silver, to looking like she was going to go almost tan for a bit, but now I think she'll be a lighter silver. Because of the long hair, she looked like she had a bad dye job - super dark at the ends and lighter at the roots.

Thank you for your answer. I never heard the term "Running Gold". I guess time will tell and there's nothing I can do about it. I have to admit I don't like it though. | |
