Have any of you ever seen a golden yorkie?

It is very much recognized by AKC. My golden girl Mercedes is AKC. It has nothing to do with "back yard breeders" It is a recessive gene and both parents have to be carriers (the bb gene if I remember correctly). The Dandi Dinmont Terrier is believed to be part of the Yorkie "ingredients". Here is a picture of the mustard colored Dandi....

My research paper was for BYB's and pet scams, I just stumbled across golden yorkies in my research because of selling tactics. It said that some breeders may try to sell them as rare Yorkies. But I remembered seeing something from the AKC about not accepting them. *shrugs* I didn't mean to say that only BYB's have them or anything, thats just how I came across info about them.

They can't be shown because of the color variant, but can certainly be registered via akc if the sire and dam are registered.

Just out of curiosity, they are not supposed to be bred, are they? I was just wondering if the golden gene would be stronger in the golden parents. I think I know the answer to this, but I'm interested to hear from a breeder.

They are absolutely gorgeous. (no, I'm not looking into breeding goldens )

I do have to admit, they are beautiful adults, and adorable puppies. I really appreciate all the information on the golden yorkies. I am surprised as well to meet so many people that actually have a golden.
