So we pull up to the breeder's house and she takes us to where the dogs are. Of course, 2 comes running up to my wife and my wife picks her up and she starts licking her all over the face. My wife instantly fell in love and said "I don't care which one we picked before, this is the one!" It's 100% true that they pick you and you don't pick them!
So as you can see in the picture, we definitely got 2. But don't let that frown fool you! She's so playful and so happy and I can tell you that neither of us compromised. We love her to death and she's is the best thing that's happened to us. I'm also very protective of her and my wife was shocked as she's never seen me be that protective of anything. But that's what love can do to ya.
So needless to say, she is such a joy in our life and we wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.

Welcome to YT. Your "daughter" is just too darn cute for words!! You are also a prime example of Yorkies dads, meaning how protective and soft a guy can get when they have a little Yorkster kid. These guys just melt hearts!

It's so true. However, I definitely do strike a balance (I don't have the daddy's little girl syndrome

). I'm not one to give her everything she wants and I'm more strict than my wife. So even though I'm VERY protective, I'm also the alpha dog.

Actually that's a funny story. I had just finished cutting the grass and my wife had just got back from bringing Pumpkin to get her nails clipped. I walked in the house and told her I was going to take a shower. She said that she had a surprise for me. Usually I can figure out what she's up to, but not this time. As I get out the shower my wife can't wait to show me any longer, and in comes pumpkin in her costume! I almost melted and I couldn't stop laughing at how cute she looked! Luckily the wife was able to take that picture of her while she had her in another room because I tried to take a few and they didn't turn out nearly as cute as that one. I told my wife that I couldn't wait for the fall because we usually carve pumpkins and I wanted to take a picture with Pumpkin in the pumpkins, but this was even better! We just carved a few last night so we'll have to dress her up again and take a pic with her between them.
