| this is one of my boys feisti and he is 8 mths old.problems is I thought he had a coarse cot texture but now I am not sure what it is or if he is still changing . it is beautiful but is slow growing and when I wet him it still does feel coarse, but the hair itself is really straight.any experts in here please give me your input.

| Donating YT 3000 Club Member | well, I'm not expert, but it looks kinda like my Bengi's coat, which is not silky, but not cottony either, I think some call it modified silky coat. It doesn't get tangled that much, but it doesn't feel silky at the touch. |

| I think there is still a lot of puppy hair in there. Looks nice and smooth and strait from the pics, but I have an in between pup who sometimes looks both ways. Either way, it is a very pretty coat, color and sheen!

| Yes, very beautiful coat. Pippin looks similar to me. In fact, Pippin is a little over 5 months old and I am noticing when I brush him that he has a second length that is growing in. If I take a small section of it and lay it flat against my palm, you can see the longer length, and then a second length that is about and inch and a half long. I can't tell yet if it is just getting thicker, or if the new fur growing in is a silkier texture. I kind of hope it's both!
