Donating YT 10K Club Member | Small puppies can suffer a drop in their blood sugar if not feed frequent meals. If left untreated it is possible for them to go into shock and/or a coma. Some symptoms are trouble walking, falling over, being lethagic.. Get a tube of nytrical and give her some every day to keep her sugar level up. If you don't have nytrical on hand...and she suffers any of the above symptoms...give her karo syrup, pancake syrup to get it back up. Just let her lick it off your fingers. If you look here under the sick forum you'll find more information about it. Btw, I didn't think you were being rude. Questions aren't rude.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congratulations!!! You will love having a yorkie and being here. Please ask all the questions you have we will not thin you're being rude! Small puppies are very prone to low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and cab go down hill very quickly when it happens. Signs are wobblyness, falling over, very lethargic, seizures. The way to avoid it is to make sure your baby has food all the time and make sure she is eating every few hours even during the night. My Cali had 3 episodes when she was a puppy and all required er visits. There is a product called Nurtical that you can buy at pet stores and giving a little of this when they are not eating enough or stressed can really help. Some people give it to them every day when they are really tiny.

| ok thankyou for your replies and i will certainly be keeping a check on my little darling, she is very settled and is eating well at the minute, i have had her already for 2 weeks as when the lady sold her to us she later said chloe was only 6 weeks old when we actually boughther which i was very unhappy about as in my mind all puppies should not be sold till around 8 weeks, i will be very careful with her and shall treasure her at the minute she is as brave as a rottweiller |

| We brought Maybelline home at 6wks also, it was a little too early. But she was so small she could sit in the cup holder of our car on the way home. We were in the car today and she was standing on the arm rest so she could hold her head out the window in the wind; just 4 months and 3 pounds now. She will grow so fast enjoy her.
