My Pixie lies that close to our gas fire..it will be red hot..but she loves it! I get worried she is burning herself!

It's the heat. I am cold year-round and the same way. Both of my girls love to cuddle where there is warmth. Penny, especially though, knows the sounds of me getting out the blow dryer, space heater, etc. and she comes running to share the warmth!!

My first yorkie was 3.5 pounds. I loved that heating pad story because he did the same thing.
He LOVED to lay on the heating pad, and would often lay there and pant, but wouldn't get up. I was afraid he was gonna cook from the inside out!!

Oh too funny... I have one of them also.. loves that heat...I thought I was the only one who had a yorkie that so wanted the heat.. when we travel in the motorhome.. he stands where the heat blows onto it.. it is funny to watch this...thanks for sharing...

Omg! I thought Rosie was the only one. If the heater is off she scratches at it and looks at me to turn it on. My heating bill is so high because of her

She'll start panting but doesn't move cuz she loves it so much.

The bed is from Walmart. I picked it up so the girls could both lie on a bed together instead of trading off on the small one we had. The bottom pad is reversible - one side the microsuede, the other is the lambskin wool look.

I had an white terrier mix a few years ago that LOVED laying right next to the heater. she ended up scorching a large circle on her side from getting to close. The smell of burnt fur is horrible!!

That is so cute!
Wrigley LOVES the heat! She sits on the heat register in the kitchen when it's blowing and she lays as close as she can without touching the glass when the fireplace is on!
We always check her fur and move her because she falls asleep and she gets so hot!
