I know someone who's uncle lives over there and they had her shipped here. I think, though, its so hard on little ones being shipped so far away. But if they hadn't shipped Yorkies from there in the first place there wouldn't be any Yorkies in the good ol USA!!

Did they really put you through alot to get her over there?

Did they really put you through alot to get her over there?

You would not believe the time, money and DETAILS involved in getting a dog from the US to Ireland. One lady on the net said it's easier to import cocaine, than to legally bring a dog! I'm not complaining, I am SO glad she's here, but it was a lot of work.

They said it really wasn't that big of a deal to bring them into the US,

they didn't put them in quarinteen or anything. Some say when they bring them in from other countries that they hold them for about 6 months.

They were held by some people in New York for about 2 weeks so they could recoop from the flight, then flew them to LA area, and drove to pick them up from there.

Now when ever I here about anything from Ireland I get excited and say "Haylie Mae thats where you were born."

I here it is just beautiful over there.

I'm so happy she gotto go with you, I'm sure it was well worth it to have your little Angel with you. She sure is a cutie!!!

Willow is adorable and LOVE Ireland...one of my favorite vacations was to Ireland. Loved everyone we met there!!!

Thank you. My husband was born and raised here, so we moved back for him.

Wow Willow is lovely, and its great to see another person form Ireland here. Am from Belfast myself. Wow am so glad you brought Willow over with you. How long did she have to stay in quarantine for. Am not sure if the laws are different down South.

They have relaxed the laws, so it's now a "free quarantine". She stayed with my mom in the states for six months following her rabies vaccine. After being checked out at the approved vet hospital, she came home with us right after our flight.

Nice to chat with someone from Ireland.
