| Itsy the YorkiePoo Hello everybody, I'm new here and this is my girl Itsy. She is a yorkiepoo (poodle mom, yorkie dad). She is 9 weeks old and 2.3 lbs. Her hobbies include playing, napping, chewing Mommy's hair, and pottying everywhere EXCEPT her puppy pads (I call her my Potty Monster). Can anyone else with a yorkiepoo give me an idea what to expect as she grows (from your own experience that is)? I know it is hard to tell with mixed breed dogs. I am just so curious as to what her coat will be like (it's wavy right now), if her ears will stay down or stand up, how big she will be.... I guess time will tell! |

| Hi Miss Lizzie. Welcome to YT. How much does your baby weigh now? It's very hard to say how he will turn out as an adult. If you go to photo gallery and look under my name Jrsygal37 browse through the pictures and look for Noel. I believe that Noel is a Yorkie Poo. Her story is sad. She was sold as a full Yorkie then returned and when I got her just before she turned a year old - she had been abused. Noel looked pure bred as a pup and even at almost a year but as she grew she changed. She is now 17 lbs. She is a wonderful dog with a great disposition and very smart. Where did you get your baby from? Noel was a rescue. Elaine |

| Hi there. Welcome to YT! My Tinkerbelle is a Yorkiepoo - mother was a Yorkie and father was a poodle. Tink is 19 months old and is all ebony black with a little auburn around her mouth a two silver hairs on her chest. The two white hairs were there when I got her at 9 weeks and the auburn grew in late last summer. She is what we here on YT call a "Tea Pot" because she weighs more than the accepted yorkie standard of 7 lbs. We made that name up because there is really no such thing, just as there is no such thing as a teacup dog. Tink weighs 10 lbs. 2 oz. and I love every bit of her. She has the temperament of a Yorkie and the coloring of her poodle dad. I've never had such a stubborn dog. Her ears are shaped like a yorkie's and try to stand up but they are too thin - like a poodle's - so they can't stay up. There are other Yorkiepoos on YT. Slade for one. And others that I can't remember right now. I hope one of them will see this post and offer more information. Good luck with your little baby! |

Hi and Welcome to YT! You got an adorable baby! Little Man is a yorkiepoo too(mom a poodle and dad a yorkie). He's 13 weeks. At 11 weeks he weighed 5.5 1/2 lbs. He's my little butterball! He got all his coloring and markings from his dad. His ears are standing up but they are soooo HUGE! lol He got his ears from his mom! I think his ears adds to his charm. His hair well that remains to be seen. He has a soft/cottony coat. It's straight but its wavy too (if that makes since) It seperates looking all matted and like he's never seen a bathtub before. My advice for you is to expect everything...lol...they are very mischevious as all get out! Be sure to look in your shoes before sticking your feet in them Little Man left hubby a nice little surprise in his work boots one day Hubby has since then learned to put his shoes up instead of leaving them on the floor next to his chair. I hope that helps some. Maybe some of the others can help out too. Good luck with your baby!

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | How adorable! Jaxon is a yorki-poo, he will soon be 4 years old in May and weighs around 6lbs. His mom was a white toy poodle & his dad was a yorkie. He started out looking just like a yorkie, but with ears down and weighed 2lbs 2oz. at 4 1/2months old. When he was well over a year old, his color changed to the silver & black that he is today. We adore him! He has been way easier to train then my other yorkies....must be the poo! I just read where poodles are one or two on the smartest dogs list! Good Luck & Welcome! Kay & Jaxon

| Hello and welcome to YT!! Gracie is a Yorkipoo as well (Mom was the poodle, Dad was the Yorkie). She is a little over a year old now, and weighs in at 9.4 lbs. The vet says she won't weigh more than 11 lbs (in his opinion). She has the coloring of her dad, and her coat is very cottony and soft. It is also straight (sort of) when she comes home from the groomers, but usually it is just wavy. She was so hard to potty train!! I thought she was never going to get it, but one day it was like a light bulb went off in her head and she realized she can hold it for more than 2 hours! Now she only goes out to potty in the morning, after I get home from work, and before we go to bed. She is very, very smart, and has the personality that she is the queen. But that is my fault entirely. Oh and her ears have always stayed down, and never stood up. Here's a picture
