Jamie, both your girls are so sweet. Thank you for sharing. I know with you love and care, Baby will be just as happy as Tika.

Baby actually doesn't like treats because she just had her dental done and unfortunately had most of her teeth pulled. I have many different kinds of soft treats and she won't eat any of them.

She is good about eating soft dog food and seems to really like the brand I use for Tika. It's really good because the main consistency of the food looks like tofu in a delicious-smelling gravy (it's actual meat but looks like tofu) and also has small vegetables in the mix. Both dogs really like the food and eat well.

Today or tomorrow I'll be taking her to the groomers and cannot wait to share the before and after photographs. Baby is a lot like Tika in that she has very, very bad breath ... likely from all the toxins in her body from bad teeth. It took Tika almost 3 months of eating healthy food and having her dental done before her breath was bearable. Tika also had very stinky farts that would clear the room ... but doesn't do that anymore (thank god!)

She is so beautiful and so lucky to find a person to give her the love she obviously had not received at least not for a long time. She will settle in soon enough Im sure. Congrats on the newist member of your family.

We went to the vet yesterday and th poor little girl's teeth were not cleaned (as I was previously told) and most of her teeth are worn down and rotten from trying to chew her way out of a steel/metal cage.

She is completely deaf and the veterinarian who did her surgery for breast cancer didn't do a proper job and there are more tumours growing on her belly. So she needs to have breast cancer surgery again ... poor thing.

Otherwise she's in good health and actually slept in bed with Tika, Hannah (my daughter) and I last night. She's finally getting used to the good life! LOL

awwwww,, Bless Her Heart,,,, how sad folks didnt tell you the truth in her condition.. & hope you are able to do for her all that may come up with her.
but by sleeping with ya ,sounds like she's getting very comfy with you all!! Great News!! Best of Luck!

That's terrible they did not tell you of her health history .
You must have been shocked to think this little one went
through breast surgery. Poor baby. Prayer's coming for
her to get well real soon.
Glad she's getting comfortable in her new home.

Oh Jamie, your poor little girl. Well she sure is in the right place now to have her surgery taken care of. Maybe she shouts at you because she is deaf? I'm please she sleep in the bed now, I knew she would warm to you and your little family, how could she not ?

Has anyone ever had experience with a deaf dog? She barks and barks and barks at me and I'm wondering if this is why.

Maybe she's thinking...I know this person isn't deaf why isn't she listening to me??? I'm kidding....Ramsey isn't deaf and barks AT me constantly for one thing or another...I can usually tell what it is she's trying to tell me.

She may bark because she feels it. It's her sense of sound...vibration.

I'm glad this girl has found a wonderful forever home with you.

Thank you for posting both of those videos. Just seeing the original picture of Baby, I fell in love with her. Getting to see her on the video really brings her to life and helps convey the things you have been noticing. Was Tika
a rescue too? She is adorable. It sounds like Baby is really settling in--so glad she slept with all of you. Just as Baby is a role model for training Tika, Tika will be a help to Baby with their bonding giving comfort. You are doing wonderful things......making this world a more wonderful place!!!

Here are some photographs of all my babies ... but showing how beautiful Baby is after her grooming. I think she looks almost half her age (12 years) and like a beautiful show dog. (I'm a little biased.)
