When I talk with her softly she calms down and relaxes. She looks me in the eyes while she barks like she's trying to tell me something. My sense is that she is telling me she wants to go home. It breaks my heart to see this and she is actually doing it right now as I type.

I can't get over what a great little girl she is about going outside to the washroom. The only difficulty is that she's too old to climb the stairs to my area of the duplex. She tried once and fell down a couple steps, so I carry her up and down the stairs.

maybe just pick her up when she does this and just love on her all you can ? Thats the pits that you have no idea what her past was like.... poor thing must of had to sleep on the floor... she 'd be in my bed ;) Hope your love can make her forget her past ! Please keep us updated on Baby !

I actually brought Baby up on the bed with Tika and I. She lay down for a few minutes and then jumped off. Last night she slept on the floor next to the bed on a pile of clothing on the floor.

I am amazed at what a good dog she is and feel lucky to have her. She's very smart and very wise and has not once messed on the floor. I'm hoping Tika will emulated this behaviour soon ... LOL

Just give her a little time to get used to her new home, she will see how much you love her and come around, these little buggers are soo smart !

Congrats on finally finding your baby girl. Baby is so cute. I'm sure she will shortly settle in and get used to being loved on. Thank you so much for taking her in.

I was finally able to capture Baby's crying and barking on video. It just breaks my heart to see her so sad. I'm going out of my way to give her extra special attention and love. It feels like she's telling me she wants to go back home (to whoever she was with before).

Any advice or suggestions on how to cheer her up?

Tika made me laugh because she's so cute with her little tail wagging.

Baby does sound so sad. It's probably just going to take some time. Does she like treats? Maybe treats and loving will start to make her feel better

poor Baby,, i dont think shes unhappy,, just confused,, and I'm sure with you love and attention she'll be a Happy Camper very soon,, i too would suggest treats and extra special attention,, which i figure you're giving already,, and Tika is a cutie, love the videos!! how DO you put video in the forum here???:animal-pa
