| Calling all teapots I've finally found my yorkie and he's...(ahem)...big boned, shall we say? He's going to be an estimated 9 pounds and I'm going to love every ounce of him. But how big is 9 pounds? I have ever only seen the little ones so I cant even imagine what 9 pounds looks like. Can someone compare their 9 pounds to something, size wise, so I can get an image? |

I got my baby today. She's (guess) about 2lbs and only 8 weeks so I figure she will be a teapot too. she is adorable I want to know some size comparisments too; because the breeder told me that 'Tia's' Mom was 5 lbs and she looked more like 10 lbs to me.. but I dunno how to gauge how much 5llbs etc should look like | |

| Tucker is 9 lbs! Tucker is 9 lbs and is the best! I just measured him and he is 20 inches long, from tail to nose. and is about 16 inches tall, from floor to top of nose when he sits and sticks his nose in the air. He fits in a size small at target, and a size medium at Petsmart. I would look at these sizes in clothes to get the best idea, and to be realistic when buying clothes for him. I have far too many size XXS & XS outfits from his baby months as I thought he would be that small forever lol. I really do love that he is larger. I don't have to worry about him getting hurt so much. Tuck is very athletic and has nothing but muscle. The vet said he was the most muscular dog he had ever met! He jumps around and does all kinds of things I would be weary of if he was smaller. Tucker has floppy ears. I like them, but if you really want them to stand up you really need to stay on top of trimming all the hair off and taping them up from an early age. Here is a pictures of him by a full sized keyboard. This is him walking and a bit streatched out. Let me know if you want more pictures.

| Banjo is right around 9lbs!!! Well, He wears a size S or M( if they run smaller) He still is a lap dog! Not hard to pick up- harder to carry in his soft sided carrier! He really is not that big to me- he is not near as tall as my sister 6-7 lb poodle- but a lot more stocky built!! I got several pictures in avatar-except the one w/ the ears down & big smile- they are current pic!. I don't have to worry about stepping on him, just tripping over him! Any dog under 10 # is not really that big, to me- JMO

| Here is a picture of Banjo- really nothing to compare him to except cabinets! I don't feel 9 lbs is a big dog- just a little bigger yorkie!!!! You are going to love your bigger boy!! When do we get to see his baby pictures!?? And Banjo was under 2#'s when I brought him home- seemed so tiny!!!

| I wont be bringing him home until after I move...and I think that will be on the 19th, so sometime after that. I am so excited that I feel like a 5 year old on Christmas Eve. It's almost painful to wait, lol. This little(ish) monkey is going to be so spoiled |

| Diddy is a little over 9 lbs. I don't think he is big at all. Here is a pic of him by a priority mail box.

| Schatzie who is in my avatar is about 12 lbs now (shes a bit chunkier than she should be). But her body (excluding legs and head) is about the length and size of a loaf of sandwhich bread, but heavier
