Update 4 Attachment(s) Well it's time for an update on the Bug. I got the scraggly hair cut off the rest of her body, and was dumbfounded to see what was underneath! The cut is hideous, but she would not hold still for ANYTHING (she is a bundle of energy these days). She absolutely would NOT hold still for a picture either. The one picture of her face was taken with my daughter holding her head still! The hair on her body is now so thick I can't see scalp when I part it! The picture that looks like a black blur is my attempt to take a closeup of the fact that you can't see her scalp even with her hair parted! I have never struggled so hard to get a decent picture of a dog in my life! I think it's safe to say that she's completely out of the woods at this point. I credit Innova Evo 100% with her new energy, jest for life, and HAIR!!!! It's not for all Yorkies because of the high protein, but it has absolutely saved her life! |
Oh...a couple of things I forgot to point out... Her appetite is insane. Today I gave her a tiny chicken treat (training size treat), she gobbled it up so fast that I kept giving them to her until she didn't want anymore...8 of them! Then she walked over to her bowl and stared at me...so I put a couple of tablespoons of her food in there and she gobbled that up too! Simply unbelievable. Also, I swear her new hair on her back is much darker. It used to be so silver and had almost no black in it...now it's more black/blue than silver. |

awww... That is absolutely WONDERFUL to hear she is doing so good...I mean...doing so GREAT! She looks soo cute! I love to hear that her hair is growing back and thick! and especially that she is enjoy food!! That is wonderful! You have been an amazing mommy to lil miss beauty bug! Congrats on her progress! Same food...we like it too! Your little Bug is so sweet! We feed our little Chibi Innova EVO. It's a bit high protein for him so we give him a little piece of potato with his food, and he is doing well! (If you want to know why it's too much protein-his poo poo is really small when he just eats the food, and he goes more often, like he is constipated, but with potato he goes less often-TMI right?) He has a lot of energy, his eyes don't water as much as they used to, and his coat is beautiful! I feel happy that the grain isn't from China as well. Here in Japan everyone is very sensitive about Chinese products, since the dumpling incident. A pesticide was found recently in dumplings that sickened people, even put some in critical condition. Tests were done also recently that found many pesticides in food products for humans. I don't trust that the food for animals are safe. Be careful! Nothing against China, or Chinese people, just the regulations there aren't very good. Also many farmers in the country just don't know how to use pesticides correctly. Ok, I'm getting off subject! I missed this thread when it first started but I read it all and I'm amazed at Bug's improvement! I'm so glad she's doing better and she's healthier, more active, and happier!!!!! THank God for YT! I'm glad you followed our members advice! |
Oh my gosh! First of all, how have i not seen this ! Second, that sweet angel you have is too precious for words. I have cried to the point people are staring into my office! OH, Sadie has such light hair on her head that it looks thin and scraggly too! We can't help we have such natural blondes :) |
2 Attachment(s) My vet, my family, and I unanimously agree that Bug is perfectly healthy and fine as of today. I'm posting her latest picture...glowing eyes and all. I took about ten pictures, and her eyes were glowing just as bright in all of them, so I just picked a couple. This will probably be my last update unless something major happens. Thanks to you all for the support and encouragement! |

I can't believe I missed this entire thread! I hope you stay in touch. Bug is way precious and a beauty! Kudos for you and your family for taking her in.:thumbup: :thumbup: I hope you stay on YT and continue to post. I am relatively new and I've not seen such a response to any one thread; it is wonderful and warming. There are a lot of wonderful folks here. You can see in her eyes that Bug is thriving. Awww, I just found this thread. Where have I been?! What an adorable little furbaby! I read the thread form the beginning and what a great family you are to have taken in such a delicate little friend and nursed her to health and happiness. Little Bug looks much loved now. You can see it in her little face. Good job mom and daughter! I just love rescue stories - my furkid is a rescue too.:thumbup: |
