Thanks for reviving the idea. I hadn't heard of it. I am going to try it for Nina. The best is also for the little ones...you are not spending a lot of money on something they will outgrow.

I am new to the site and have the same problem with Cooper....the only thing that fits him well is the velcro vest/velcro coats but they are making him mat miserably. You have an AWESOME idea and my daughter has a ton of cute socks she never wears, but unfortunately please spell it out for me, how did you make the arm holes? Once you cut the heel and the toe out did you have to sew it? Or make other arm holes? Sorry I dont sew and desperatly hoping this would be something I can do??

Absolutely no sewing involved! I cut the heel and toe part out so I had two "tubes". Then, I compared it to a shirt I had boughten her to get an idea for how far down to put the arm holes. Then, I just cut a little x where each armhole should be.
