Great Pics!...... Just remind Eddie & Jack that the "Snowflake Tongue Catching" sport should ALWAYS be done after all birds are finished flying south!

The bears around here were starving!! There were no blueberries, raspberries or strawberries this past summer for the bears to eat. We got a frost that wiped out all the plants.. So the bears came into town to peoples gardens, and crab apple trees to get something to eat. I know a dog that was in a backyard on the other side of town got killed by a bear..

I felt bad for the bears, but we were all scared to go out for our walks..

We didn't go walking to much this summer.. These pics were taken a street over from my house.. Hubby took them while sitting in the car!!

What a beautiful animal! I would want to pet it. I know, that's not a good thing to do haha. But it would be sooo tempting.

We have about three seasons. Winter lasts about 7-8 months and ends in April. Then we have a season called "breakup," when all the snow melts and it's yucky for 2-3 weeks. Then we go right into a 3-month summer. Fall lasts for about three weeks to a month before winter returns in October.

We have a winter carnival of cool events that lasts Feb. 22 to March 2. The Iditarod starts March 1st.

You'd probably prefer summer. We'll be out of state for two weeks until around June 20, but any time after that would work. July and the first part of August are nice months. Our state fair runs Aug. 21-Sept. 1. That's fun, but it's usually rainy.

That's probably a good thing. Winter is a tough time to try to fall in love with Alaska. You gotta kind of ease into it in the summer. Especially up there where you'll be!

I don't think the crate would work too well. I can't hold it as long as Rusty. =p and I might be pushing the 93 lb weight limit a tad. haha.

Could I really come visit?

I mean, I don't go back to school until the 4th or 5th of September. =D

LOL!! He'd let you pet him.. You might not get away from him once your hand gets close enough though.. lol

Pending mother approval, absolutely. We'd have to figure out the best date so I could get some time off. I heard you had an aunt or grandma or somebody who wanted to come to. All are welcome, but you might have to sleep in a room with Rusty.

Oh my parents would be happy to get rid of me haha. My aunt said she might come. I don't know if she was totally serious though. She said that the day we left for Florida, because I was sitting in the airport crying haha. I think she was trying to shut me up.
