| I keep thinking that everyday will be easier, but I still miss her so much. I feel like I lost a child. My heart still aches when I see her little collar with her bell hanging on our mantle. She had to wear a kitty collar and that was still to big for her. She was so precious to me and my family. Our other dogs miss her also. They cry at night when she is not there to sleep next to them on her pillow. They won't even lay on her pillow because they know it is hers. I miss you Gidge so much.

| I am soo sorry again. I just read your last post. Time does ease the pain as hard as it is to believe. I am only 22 so I don't have any children yet, so my dogs are my children . My parents even consider them their granddogs. So when we lost Summer it was like losing a child to me. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through. It has only been 3 months, but it has gotten soo much better. I think about her everyday and sometimes I still cry, especially at night. When I read your post it made me cry, because Summer wore a cat collar too. Everytime I looked at her collar or anything of hers I broke down. I know your pain. One day you will be able to be with her again. *hugs*

| oh, I am so sorry that happened. I know your feeling bad and even guilty but don't. It wasn't your fault. Things just happen that we have no control over. I know these words don't make you feel better but I do hope you soon realize it was not your fault. my sympathies go out to you and your family. I know these little ones become like family members or our own babies and it hurts.

| RIP sweet baby Gidget. My deepest sympathy to you and your loved ones. Accidents can not be avoided...that's why they're called accidents. There was absolutely nothing you could have done, she knows that you loved her deeply and that is the most important thing...remember her...she will be forever in your heart...I am so very sorry for your loss.

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | I am so sorry for your lost. Wow our stories are so simalar. I just lost my little Duke on Thursday. He also had a very hard young life. The doctors told me he wouldn't live. He was only 11 months old when my rat terrier ran across the road after a rabbit and he followed. He was hit by a big wheat truck. Duke was 4 lbs so you know what that did. I was devestaded when I got home and was told. I didn't get to say goodbye. I keep thinking that if I had not taken a fellow employee home I would have been here and Duke would have been with me not chasing his "brother" across the road. I have found it is so easy for us to blame someone. Ourselves, spouses (mine let Duke out to potty) or the other pets. That terrible thought went through my mind even though I didn't mean it. Please PM if you want to share more. I hope you pain lessens as time passes. I pray our littles one are playing together. RIP GIDGET
