I am so sorry for your lost. Wow our stories are so simalar. I just lost my little Duke on Thursday. He also had a very hard young life. The doctors told me he wouldn't live. He was only 11 months old when my rat terrier ran across the road after a rabbit and he followed. He was hit by a big wheat truck. Duke was 4 lbs so you know what that did. I was devestaded when I got home and was told. I didn't get to say goodbye. I keep thinking that if I had not taken a fellow employee home I would have been here and Duke would have been with me not chasing his "brother" across the road. I have found it is so easy for us to blame someone. Ourselves, spouses (mine let Duke out to potty) or the other pets. That terrible thought went through my mind even though I didn't mean it. Please PM if you want to share more.

I hope you pain lessens as time passes. I pray our littles one are playing together. RIP GIDGET
