| Goodbye, Rochester. We Love You. After almost two weeks of not eating, severe vomiting, nausea and internal problems, my parents have decided to put Rochester, their 18-year-old Yorkie, to sleep. Rochester will be leaving us this afternoon. We got him when I was in high school, and he slept in my bed until I moved out. He's the best little brother ever, and I thank him for being there for me at some of the most painful moments of my life, growing up, facing decisions. He was on my side when it felt like nobody was. Thank you, Rochester, for making our family laugh. Thank you for barking when we argued. Thank you for accepting me unconditionally when others have stopped. Goodbye, Little Rochester. I will never forget you. Your spirit will live on long after you are gone. My memories with you are precious and will never be forgotten. |

| Sounds like he was a very wise man with a big heart. How wonderful that your family found him so long ago and had so many wonderful years with him. My heart breaks for the pain you and your family will go through in missing him so terribly. Please keep reminding yourself of all the funny and loving times with Rochester and not how it was near the end. Bless his little heart. |

| I'm so sorry... What you wrote about little Rochester was so touching. I'm sure he was the best friend ever and I'm sorry you have to say goodbye. Rochester was my nickname for my little Muffin, too. I don't know why, since she was a girl. It just was a cute nickname that stuck.

| Rochester Oh - how sad. Rest in peace, Rochester. You gave your family 18 years of pure joy it sounds like. Have fun at the Rainbow Bridge till you all meet again. May God give you and your family all the strength you need to get thru this loss. Take Care... Rudys Mom (Dawn) |
