| my kids have been born and raised with rotties and I will more than likely get another rottie in the next couple of years. To my and this is my opinion they are the greatest dogs on earth other than yorkies. I would trust both my kids lives with rotties. |

| I have a pitbull named Maggie at home. She's not vicious and she's so sweet. I could pile on top of her and take a nap, stick my face right up to hers even if she's eating. When we got Toffee three weeks ago, we were afraid of what Maggie would do to him but Maggie and Toffee play together really well. She's as gentle as she can be with him, while Toffee is jumping all over her nipping at her nose and clawing at her eye. I just think that bigger dogs get a bad reputation because they can do so much more damage than the little breeds that can just nip at you. But of course, you never know when a dog can turn into a vicious killing machine (big or small). |

| Ontario 8-30-05 I hesitated to put this info on the site because on another site it got way too heated and yet I feel people should know when people are making some head-way. I believe because of bad owners way back in a dog's pedigree a sweet dog today can turn at any moment. Toronto: Ontario on Monday became the first province in Canada to ban the pit bull after vicious attacks by some pits. The measure makes Illegal to breed pit bulls or bring the dogs into the province. Those allowed in Ontario will be allowed to stay, provided they're spayed, and leashed and muzzled in public. Owners who violate the law face up to six months in jail. This article is a long one and to make a long one short , one man said "I'll just move" That's why we have to stop purchasing these dogs and other dogs that man has made to protect them. How about purchasing a "security system" Duh!!! The end of the article said Pit bulls already are banned in some Canadian cities, including Kitchener, Windsor and Winnipeg, In the United States, pit bulls are banned in Denver, Miami and Cincinnati. per me: looks like we still have a very long way to go
