Oh Christy, I am so sorry. I have horses also and I am always afraid of the dogs getting under their feet.

Our late yorkie used to get in the coral and bark at them and one of them would stomp with her foot trying to squish her like a bug.

I know how horrible you must feel. May the Lord give you the strength and peace that you need to get through this.

That is awful. I can't imagine what it's like to have her little life snatched from you so quickly. I know it doesn't seem fair. I'll have you in my prayers. Please know that Tasha is watching over you now, and she'll always be with you.

I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and prayers. We are trying to get through this. It's not easy..she meant so much to us.
I would be lying if I said I felt better today..cause i don't. I can't seem to pull it together. I do know with time this will ease. I know soon I will be able to think of her and smile. I just wish that time would get here. My heart is breaking for her. We all just seem to be so lost right now. She was like the mommy of all of our dogs. She had such a gentle nature about her and all the dogs got so much comfort from her as we did.
I know some may not agree with this but we are thinking of re homing our horses. We don't want to take the chance of this ever happening again.
I have to admit I was so angry at them for doing this. I now know it wasn't their fault but the hurt is still there and I don't think it will ever go away. They didn't mean to kill my baby but they did. It doesn't help that I am scared of the horses. My husband is the one that wanted to keep them and my girls..but they too feel like I do about it. We just think its best for us and our dogs.
The yorkies do get excited and run in there and bark at them..they don't do it often but all it takes is one time and I can't take that chance again.

Just don't make drastic decisions right now.Sometimes the pain of loosing our love ones don't let us see things clear. Wait a few days and re-think things. Like you said, it is not the horses fault, they don't know what they did.
I'm nobody to tell you what to do with your horses. But, if you ever decide to re-home the guys please make sure that the family you are giving them to is a family that loves animals so they get the same love that you have given them and if not, make sure you give them to a non- kill shelter.
I know your pain sweetie, cry as much as you can, that helps a lot too.

My heart is so heavy for your loss,I can only say that you will be reunited ,when the fime comes Tasha will come bounding over the Rainbow Bridge,landing in your arms,loving you more than she ever did before.

I am so so sorry to hear of this accident. I have lot a small poodle due to a garage door accident. It makes you feel totally lost. I replaced the garage door immidately with an updated version that would reverse if anything was in the way. It did make me feel better to take my anger out on the door. so if you all think it would help to re-home the horses you go right ahead and do it.

just remember she is in a beautiful place
full of other puppies and there is always a view of you and your family
so remember to look up and smile to her everyday
