I'm happy to report that the puppies are adjusting and eating good. It's hard to believe they will have their eyes open next week. I know my Reggie is watching to make sure I'm taking good care of her babies and I feel so close to her then. I'm very happy to to tell you that Sissy's mother instincts are taking over. Even though her milk is dried up, she is getting in the cage with Reggie's girls. At first it was more like she wasn't sure if she should be in with them, then she laid down and let them crawl all over her, now she's starting to lick them. I think we're headed in a positive direction.

So glad to hear that! That closeness with Sissy will help them so much even if they can't get milk from her and I know it helps to your mind to rest a little. You are doing such a fantastic job!

I thought I'd post a picture of my substitute mommy. Sissy is starting to act like they were her own. Puppies seem to be thriving with the extra care they're getting from Sissy.

YOu can just put a cute lil bow on her head and email that sweetie my way lol..talk about a doll..She looks like she is on cloud nine with all those babies to tend to..

Sissy is adorable . Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures . It is so heartwarming to see what love can do . There is always a lesson to learn from nature .

I took this pic this morning. I think Sissy is just as content as the girls. The pups seem to be thriving with her motherly care.

Getting into the act, Sissy's daughter Roxie, Reggie's granddaughter, is helping out too. I was so surprised to see her with the pups. With Sissy, I figured it hadn't been that long since she lost her babies and the mother thing would still be there, but Roxie? God may have needed Reggie, but I think he has really blessed me with these two loving ladies.

Hi Linda-
I just found this thread and have been thinking about you everyday since you emailed me. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and will be honored to make one of Reggie's daughters our own.
