| Maggie passed away My beloved Maggie passed away last Thursday at the age of 14. She was my baby, my heart and soul! She was literally my shadow! Losing her is the worst pain I have ever felt. I miss her SO much!!

| I always get a bit of a sense of relief when I get them back home. Hope you will find some comfort. It's just so hard to lose our beloved pups.

| I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Maggie. Maggie will be in your heart forever, never to be forgotten. I was in pain for weeks after losing my much loved 17 year old Matese. I cried for weeks, all I could think of was the day I had to let her go. It took a long time for me to remember the good and happy times we had together. A time will come that you will remember the happier times and smile. My girl is gone 10 years now, not a day goes by that she in not in my thoughts, sometimes my eyes do tear up because I miss her so much, but then I remember the happy times and I can smile. (((HUGS)))

| Thank you for your thoughts and for sharing your experience. I have a long way to go, but our other dogs need me just as much. I just have to keep remembering that.

| Yes, I agree, dogs feed off our emotions, they too are grieving their siblings loss. I had a pack of 3 girls, all 3 years apart. When the oldest girl passed I could not grieve her loss, I had to stay strong for the other two, then I lost my middle girl, again I had to stay strong for the baby. I know exactly where you're at.

| I'm sitting at a little over 1 year since I lost Ranger. Just thought I would log back in here, just in case something healthy might come of it (but concerned I'm probably just being masochistic). Still haven't quite felt ready for another dog yet. But unlike some others in here, I don't think I'll be doing another Yorkie. I decided whoever the next one is, he needs to be his own man. Not another Ranger.
