Thank you Carol. Calleigh sounds like a little doll baby. Just like my Daisy. I am wondering if Teddy Bear will eventually get the courage to walk up to people like Daisy did. I am really surprised at how his little personality is emerging now.

Thank you Lisa. Having Teddy here is certainly helping. We are helping each other for sure.

I'm sure that you were the best Mommy ever and gave her all the love and care she needed. She will always be with you.
Thank you for your very comforting words. I do feel that Daisy will always be with me and that I will be with her again. I am so very sorry that you went through this with your baby Didi. It is such an awful thing to happen to these sweet little souls. Thank you for the prayer, I really appreciate it. Jean

I'm really sorry to hear about Daisy. I know what you mean about not feeling as you have enough time to prepare. When Teddy was originally diagnosed we were told he would only survive a couple of days. The aggressive chemo therapy gave us two months, instead. We are very thankful for those two months. I can't begin to understand the devastation that you feel having to lose your little one so quickly.

I'm happy to hear that your other dog, Teddy, is coping well with his sister's loss, and is in a sense offering you some comfort during such a difficult time.

Thank you so much. We were indeed blessed to have my Daisy in our lives. We have 12 years of wonderful memories with her. I am so sorry for your recent loss. May God be with you in your time of grief.

Thank you for your words of comfort. We were stunned to get the shocking blow about her cancer. It was too widespread by the time we found out and we only had two weeks. How I wish we could have had more time too. I am so sorry that you lost your dear Teddy. It was such a blessing that you got some extra time with him. Teddy Bear is doing so much better than I thought he would. And I am so glad here is here.

I live in St. Louis County. Glad to see another St. Louisan here!

Thanks for checking in on us Donna. The last couple of days Teddy Bear has been looking for a Daisy and moping around a lot. We took him to see one of his best friends, a Maltese/poodle mix named Maggie. He wasn't really interested in her and just wanted to sit on my lap. He didn't play with her at all. Usually when we would visit Maggie Daisy would lead him on a "sniff fest" all around Maggie's yard. I think he missed that and realized that Daisy wasn't there.

Yesterday I took him to one of his favorite parks and he was moping again. Just laid on the park bench. Then he met a new friend named Scotch. After several circles of sniffing each other, Teddy perked up and seemed normal again. I'm thinking seeing new things and meeting new pups will help him more than going places that make it so obvious that Daisy isn't there. Our vet said this might last a few weeks. It is so sad to see him like this.

I'm sorry to hear Teddy is having a difficult time right now. I would think taking him out often would be good for him. I hope things get better for the both of you soon. :

Thank you Carol. Teddy Bear had a much better day today. He enjoyed the park and had a nice long enjoyable ride in the stroller. He ate like a little piggy. He had a lot more energy and he seemed happy.

I'm so please to hear Teddy had a good day yesterday. Getting him out and about seems to make him happy. You are such a good mommy! I hope you both have a wonderful day today as well.

I'm glad too that Teddy Bear had a much better day yesterday. He was in my thoughts after reading your post about him really missing Daisy.

I agree with Carol: you are a great mom, and I think with all the extra spoiling, Teddy Bear will adjust in time. Sending hugs to your sweet, beautiful boy.

Thank you for posting. Thanks for saying I am a good mom too. It is good for Teddy to get lots of spoiling and attention. He will be 12 in February and being such a shy boy he kind of lived in Daisy's shadow. Now it is his time to shine and I think he likes it. We are all taking it day by day and some days are better than others for all of us. We're so happy to have our little "Bear" to lift our spirits when we are feeling down.
