Thanks for checking in on us Donna. The last couple of days Teddy Bear has been looking for a Daisy and moping around a lot. We took him to see one of his best friends, a Maltese/poodle mix named Maggie. He wasn't really interested in her and just wanted to sit on my lap. He didn't play with her at all. Usually when we would visit Maggie Daisy would lead him on a "sniff fest" all around Maggie's yard. I think he missed that and realized that Daisy wasn't there.
Yesterday I took him to one of his favorite parks and he was moping again. Just laid on the park bench. Then he met a new friend named Scotch. After several circles of sniffing each other, Teddy perked up and seemed normal again. I'm thinking seeing new things and meeting new pups will help him more than going places that make it so obvious that Daisy isn't there. Our vet said this might last a few weeks. It is so sad to see him like this.
