| I hope you have Felix home with you by now. I am sure that will give you some comfort. I certainly understand why you took so many pictures. They will be there to remind you of those special times with the little guy you loved so much.

| There's nothing you can do to prepare yourself or really help the pain of losing a beloved family member but getting through it hour by hour until time begins to help lessen the hurting. Talking it out, venting your feelings with those who understand, telling about him and his life with you, faith and Father Time are really the only things that seem to help such anguish and loss. I know Felix had the joy of a good dog's life despite his medical problems while he was with you and you will always have that time in your heart to hang onto. I'm so sorry little Felix had to go and can imagine the hole left in your life. R.I.P., little one.

| I feel your pain, losing our little Shelby a year ago was one of the lowest points in my life. I am glad you have another dog to help you through this, we went 4 months without a pet and it was so very sad and lonely. I was afraid of forgetting things but I won't let that happen. I love thinking about Shelby, I will miss her every day of my life. Now we have Ali. My husband thinks she is a reincarnated Shelby, both very Yorkie. I like to think Shelby whispers little things in Ali's ear so she knows how to fill our void. There are still differences and I love and cherish little Ali too. I just feel like there isn't anything like a first Yorkie experience. It's like your first love. You will love again but there isn't anything like the magic of the first. May time and memories help you heal, my condolences. |

I went through some of his close yesterday (my husband was fishing, so I could cry out loud, LOL). Some of his sweaters when he was just a puppy. Oh God, just painful. I washed his blankets yesterday, I kept one that still smells like him. Yesterday was pretty lonely. I used to make jokes that Felix was going to lose all of the hair on his forehead because I give him so many forehead kisses. Never happened, but I gave it a good try. I am sorry about your little Shelby, I see your username is like mine. I guess we will forever be Felix and Shelby's mom. =) I hope I get a reincarnated Felix, or at least I get to see some of his characteristics surface in a future doggy.

Someone also suggested I plant a Felix tree, which I thought was a pretty cool idea. =)

I hope you find comfort in knowing your Felix may not have had the years that some dogs get, but he had enough love to last forever. What a lucky little dog.
