Maddie was so beautiful....and surely her little baby will grow up to be too....

I cannot believe I just realized what has happened here. You do not have to even begin to try to explain to me how you are feeling. I am so sorry. I am crying with you because I feel your pain all over again for myself. I am praying and praying for your little girl. I sent you a pm, write me back when you feel up to it and I will call you if thats ok. It does help. I didnt want to talk at all when I went through what you are, and after I opened up to everyone, it REALLY helped me in a way I never thought possible.

I am so sorry to hear about your little girl...I can't imagine the pain you are in!! But you will be on my heart, as will your new little girl!! I hope that she continues to gain strength and will soon come back home with you...please keep us updated on her!!

Oh Heather, I've been praying for you, and I think this lady is an answer to everyone's prayers. It must help to know she is in the hands of someone with lots of experience and patience. And you need to rest and take the time to mourn Maddie. Don't let yourself get too run down, you are vulnerable to getting sick right now.I think "little Maddie" is adorable! Best of luck with her.

I almost couldn't read this thread because I had tears in my eyes the whole time. I'm so sorry for your loss. I just can't imagine what you are going through. Luckily you found someone that has done this before and was willing to help you through this. Please keep us updated.

I would never want anyone to go through what I have, but it is a little comforting to know that some of you have and you know how I am feeling. Everyone here has been one great big shoulder to cry on and it really helps me so much. Thank you for all your prayers...I think they're working!
I also have an update on little Maddie. She is now taking the nipple on her own. She's been eating right on time with no problems. I am so happy she is doing better. It sounds like she has a VERY good chance. The breeder says she is super active, very strong and she is a good sized little girl. That makes me happy. I just want to jump in the car to go see her already. I'm going back on Saturday to visit her!

Great news! Little "Maddie" is number one on my prayer list!

You really helped me a lot! I was on the phone all day and although there was no luck with a foster mommy, I got tons of helpful information. Everyone I spoke to (so many I can't even remember who said what anymore) was so nice and so totally helpful in my foster mommy quest. There were phone calls being made from breeder to breeder all over the place trying to help. It's really amazing to know how many people care. In the end, I really started to second guess myself constantly and all of the information in the world could not help me with the overwhelming emotional stress of the loss of Maddie and wanting to do everything perfect to save this little part of her. I had to think fast. I think an angel was with me when I met that lady at the vet who put me in contact with the breeder I ended up taking her to. I had no appointment (at the vet), I just decided to get in the car and go out of the blue. I don't think she's anyone that you all know...well, you may, but she's not on YT. Her name is Mary Capen. She's in Phelan, CA. She and her daughter live together. She is also a Vet Tech part time. He daughter is also very experienced, so I am comforted knowing there is double care there.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.. Keep your head up!

I know I have talked to breeder in Phelan before...I will have to look up my notes and see if it her.

At least with two of them there they can switch off feedings and she can probably take her to work at the vet's office. :thumbup:

I just cant get this out of my mind and I am so sad for Maddie. But I guess I just wanted to say how wonderful it is that the little maddie survived and how much of a blessing that is. I cant imagine how hard it will be to provide her with the proper care without her mother but I am praying for you and wishing you the best. :tinyheart
