I'm here to express my love and sadness about the loss of Karma. He was a very loved boy, someone who will always hold such a special part of your heart. As Ashley got older, I read so much trying to make sure I kept her healthy, but I also tried to do something to try to prepare myself for her loss. I was successful for the most part in keeping her healthy, but I was unable to prepare myself at all for losing her. Karma was so young, and that hurts so much. I don't know if quotes or poetry help you, but all I can do is listen and let you know how much I care.

I have a plaque in my classroom that I bought thirty years ago. It reminds me of a very special girl that I taught my first four years of teaching. She was born with a heart problem that was corrected at birth, but she died suddenly at the age of thirteen. The author of this well known poem has been debated, so I have left it out.

The tide recedes, but leaves behind

I have but I still mourn the loss of my cat who I thought to be with me much much longer.
