| Thank you to all of you for your wonderful comments. I'm having a tough time tonite because exactly 1 week ago, almost to the hour, I lost Tinkerbell. I just wish I would have done something different - driven to the emergency hospital faster, given her more nutrical, something! Sorry if I sound so depressing. You guys don't know how much your comments and private messages have helped. I am not a religous fanatic but I have to say that it was fate and an angel that brought me to this website. You all have made a tragic situation so much more bearable. Thanks again. I am so glad I was able to share Tinkerbell with you. On a lighter note, I'm going to play around with the computer and figure out how to upload my new "framed" picture of Tinkerbell. Also, here is an update: I still have not received the results of the necropsy. I called the pathology department at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and the technician told me that she wasn't sure if the Dr. had called my vet with a preliminary verbal report on the cause of death but that he was done for the day...ugh...the suspense is killing me. I suppose everything is in "slow mode" because of the holidays. Mia

| I so hope the answers you need are there really soon. It is so hard NOT knowing. The one thing I do know is that your treatment was so right on and so fast, that nothing you could have done would have saved her. Your daughter and you were there when she needed you and please don't lose sight of that..Bless you and yours in this really sad time.. |

Thank you so much for your kind words. I tried to save her. You are right, I just can't lose sight of the fact that I tried and it was simply her time to go. My daughter read your post and she says thank you also. She is so appreciative of your generosity and support - and for helping maintain my sanity!

| Hi Shae, thanks for thinking of me, it means a lot. No, I don't have any information yet. I called the pathology dept yesterday and the technician who has been helping me is out til next Tuesday! UGH! I called the emergency animal hospital and was told they have not received a report yet from the vet who performed the autopsy. Hopefully I will know something next week. I will let you know as soon as I know. Thank you again!

| :-( I'm so sorry to hear this. May I ask what happened? Also, I'm in Jersey too. If you need someone...I know we don't know each other...but I would be willing to get together if you'd like to talk. Please take care of yourself.

| wendybee IS RIGHT ON TARGET..YORKIES ARE NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS...I LOVE YORKIES~ [B]wendybee IS RIGHT ON TARGET! "YORKIES ARE FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS"! Thanks wendybee for saying that. My next litter is due any day now...This is our second litter from our Lil'Bit. When our pups are ready for sale I don't care how much money someone has I interview the person, ask questions, etc. before I let someone have one of our pups. I have work on the psychiatric unit of a hospital for 10 years and I am a pretty good judge of character and if I don't feel the person is right for the pup or the pup not right for them...THEY JUST DON'T GET IT. I also send a check list home with the person who does get one of our pups and list what they like and don't like and a little about their personality...atleast of what I had observed so far in their short little life with me. I also give them all the vet records, my vets name, address and phone number if they would like to call her (She said that was ok with her) and even sometimes a little toy or treat they like at that time. I think all these things are important...atleast to me..I want to give a healthy, happy puppy to the buyer and want them to feel very secure with their new puppy. **Anyone else so crazy as me?? I just love Yorkies Sandie Last edited by sandie; 12-31-2005 at 05:28 AM. Reason: Adding Things.. |
