| ![]() Also, alot of Attorneys will give you a free consultation, you could call one and tell them your story and see what they think, and if you have grounds for a case, and they could tell you what you need to do next.

| ![]() Don't beat your self up, you were doing what you thought was OK. It is a horrible loss and the only thing you can do now is try to make sure that it doesn't happen to someone else. He should not be practicing medicine, especially if he isn't even following standard protocal.

| ![]() I am so sorry for your loss of Macey. I just went through a similar experience with anethesia, although I place no blame on my vet at all. I do not believe it had anything to do with anything she did. However, there are vets out there who probably don't take into consideration the size of our dogs. My heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless your kitty, hope he gets better soon! |

| ![]() I know just a little about this type of thing. I worked for a pretty good vet for a long time. I also know that the doctor can not preform any surgery on his own. it's just not practical or safe for the animal at all. Someone has to do the surgeries and someone else has to moniter the patient and adjust anestetic's appropriatly. Also, if there was nothing signed saying that you gave consent for surgery or anything than he can get into lots of trouble. Also, I'm sort of wondering if he is practicing without a licence. It sounds crazy, but it can happen. He may know a little about what he is doing, but obviously not enough to doo his job. The first thing you should do is call your local police department and ask for the animal control officer. Tell him what the guys name is and where he is located. Then tell him what happened to your pets. Including the fact that you never signed anything. Also that you think he could be doing this out of his home, without any proper license's. You could also call you local city hall and find out if he is actually a licensed business owner. My aunt issues business license's here where we live. And I think that it's public knowledge about who has one and who doesn't. And that is another thing that will get him into trouble. Because obviously you can't be a vet without having your business license, and can't get a business license unless you have your vet degree. I am trying to think of any other helpful tips. If you need anymore help please feel free to message me, and I will be more than happy to help. I am so sorry for your loss. It was not right what he did to you. He needs to pay before he does it again. Good luck, here if you need me. -Heather

| ![]() I think it would be great to start with yorkieusa's advise and check with them to see if this guy even has a license to practice....I have a strange feeling that he doesn't and if SoCal would be able to help you that would be great. Good Luck

| ![]() I just saw this post and I haven't read everyone's replies, but omg I am so sorry!!! *HUGS* I can't imagine what you're going through. I do know a lot of vets now have a special anathesia for smaller babies, b/c normal anethesia is very hard on them. It costs more, but in the end the money is completely worth it. I spend a lot to have Bouncer's teeth cleaned just b/c of this anethesia. I hope you find out what happened to your baby!!
