I know just a little about this type of thing. I worked for a pretty good vet for a long time. I also know that the doctor can not preform any surgery on his own. it's just not practical or safe for the animal at all. Someone has to do the surgeries and someone else has to moniter the patient and adjust anestetic's appropriatly. Also, if there was nothing signed saying that you gave consent for surgery or anything than he can get into lots of trouble. Also, I'm sort of wondering if he is practicing without a licence. It sounds crazy, but it can happen. He may know a little about what he is doing, but obviously not enough to doo his job. The first thing you should do is call your local police department and ask for the animal control officer. Tell him what the guys name is and where he is located. Then tell him what happened to your pets. Including the fact that you never signed anything. Also that you think he could be doing this out of his home, without any proper license's. You could also call you local city hall and find out if he is actually a licensed business owner. My aunt issues business license's here where we live. And I think that it's public knowledge about who has one and who doesn't. And that is another thing that will get him into trouble. Because obviously you can't be a vet without having your business license, and can't get a business license unless you have your vet degree. I am trying to think of any other helpful tips. If you need anymore help please feel free to message me, and I will be more than happy to help. I am so sorry for your loss. It was not right what he did to you. He needs to pay before he does it again. Good luck, here if you need me. -Heather
