My heart is breaking as my beautiful Baby girl passed away yesterday the 26th of January...she had not been very well over the past two months and gradually declined in physical well-being and fitness until this week when her quality of life was such that she had to be carried almost everywhere as she could only walk a few steps and there was nothing more the vet or medication could do for her.

I find it difficult to imagine how life is going to be without my beloved Baby.

I am very, very sorry for the loss of your baby. Tears came to my eyes as I read your message. I know how it feels because I have lost 4 of my 5 babies. Losing the last one (Angelica) was the worse because she died unexpectely a week before her 9th birthday. It's been 3 years now, since she passed and tears still come to my eyes when I think of her.
Go ahead and cry and grieve. It will feel better. Think about all the good memories you have of her and what a good life she had.
Baby is a little angel now that crossed the rainbow bridge. She's happy, running around in no pain or discomfort, playing around with all her friends.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know how you feel and what you're going through. I was in the same situation a little over a year ago and to this day it still seems like yesterday. It's so hard to lose your beloved best friend. They really are a part of your family.

Thank you, to you all for your beautful messages you have left here on this thread for me, each and everyone means so much to me and my family and your heartfelt words have truly touched our hearts.

I have tried to write before to thank you but just like now the tears overcome me so much that I find it so difficult to type.

We had my Baby girl creameted and it took a couple of weeks to get her home and it was a sad day when we went back to the vets to collect her as we relived her last time there which was painful and we felt just so very sad and lonely.


We were going to scatter her ashes on the park where she loved to go for a walk but found we were not able to part with her and have decided that she will be buried with me whenever that day comes as I just love her so much and even in death can't be parted from her and it feels right that she stays with us and somehow just knowing she is here is comforting to us all.


Gradually bit by bit it is getting easier, but you know yourself the house just does not feel the same and we all miss her little ways, the cuddles and lovings that she gave, letting me know when someone was at the door or passing by and often when I am cooking I still expect to turn around and see her sitting there waiting for a titbit for being so good.


I have not been able to move her bed off the landing as yet where she liked to sleep when I was in my office...I guess when the time finally comes it will be another heart wrenching moment.


Sometimes I think I hear her about the house but I guess that is only natural.


So many people have suggested getting a new dog but I know I am not ready yet and if you knew my Baby, she would be so very jealous I feel, as she always liked to be number one We plan to move house in a few years and perhaps then, as somehow now it would not feel right to bring a new dog into this house. I probably sound very silly but it is just a feeling I have now about it and my son feels the same and he too is still missing her so much as she was such a huge part of his life, even my husband bursts out crying when we talk about her...we are such a sad bunch.


Thank you again for all your support as knowing others can understand what a huge a loss it is to lose such a loving pet has meant so much.

I am just now seeing this thread... I'm so sorry for your loss.

I waited almost 2 years after my Sophie Anne passed at age 16. I was miserable everyday. But I didn't think she would have wanted me to be that sad, as she had a good life and we had fun together and shared many moments together.

One day I woke up and decided I really needed to have another Yorkie in my life... I was just too sad all the time. Sophie Anne had her place in my heart, a place that only she could fill. And I knew there was no way I'd be replacing her, she was certainly one-of-a-kind.

When I finally did get Peek a Boo, he was so very different, and I wondered if we would ever bond, the way Sophie and I had. He came from the Humane Society, and had lived in 4 homes prior to coming to mine, so he was leary of sharing his affections. After 8 months, he decided to give me a first kiss on my cheek, and from there our relationship grew rapidly.

I know myself better now, and I realize I cannot truly live and be happy without a Yorkie in my life. I had a huge hole in my heart when Sophie Anne passed away, and all the love I had for her was just being wasted on nothing I had two other dogs at the time, but they were not Yorkies. I tried to give them more love, but it just wasn't working. They could tell their Mom was truly sad.

I don't know what it is about Yorkie Love that gets into one's heart, I just know they are hard to live without. I wish you luck on your journey, and hope you can find your way back into a Yorkie's heart, so they can fill your heart once again....

My heart breaks for you! I am sorry and hope you are doing as best as can be expected. I lost my Millie Jean not long ago, well last September so almost a year but it is still so fresh. My best to you and your family.
