| Missing Romeo Hi. I am new to YorkieTalk. One week ago today I lost my 5 year old yorkie to kidney failure. Romeo had been struggling with kidney dieseae since March of last year and eventually turned to kidney failure. Making the decision to put him to sleep was the hardest thing that I ever had to do in my life but I couldn't continue to let him suffer. I cannot stop crying and just feeling so empty and so lost without him. He was my little Romeo. I thank God for the time that he was in my life. Please someone tell me.... when does the hurt and sadness and loneliness go away? |

| Hi and Welcome to YT... I'm so sorry for your loss...RIP Romeo. To answer your question...the only thing, after spending 2 miserable years without my Yorkie when she passed, the only thing that helped me was getting another Yorkie. I was so sad all the time. I forgot how to smile. I hardly laughed at all. When I got my next Yorkie, my happiness and sanity returned. I cannot wake up happy in the morning without seeing a little cute face staring back at me. I will never be without one again. Can't live life without them!

| I'm sorry you lost little Romeo so young. It's really hard to watch them suffer. I agree with Kathy. I've been there and the only thing that helped me was another yorkie. The sadness will still be there, but it is lessened when you have a lively little puppy to chase around again.

| I understand how you feel, I am so sorry. You did the right thing, to not let your baby suffer. My baby passed on Oct. 1, we are still hurting. I know Prince wouldn't want us to be this sad.

| I just wanted to let you know that I made it home. The journey wasn't an easy one, but it didn't take too long. Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and newI wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too. Please try not to be sad for me.Try to understand God is taking care of me...I'm in the shelter of His hands. Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying and I'll never hurt again. Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing.I really have to go for now... I've just got to try my wings. Unknown

| Missing Romeo Thanks to everyone! Although it has been a week and a day since Romeo passed away, I am so thankful for the years that we had together. There will always be a special place in my heart just for him. I miss him so so much. Thankfully I have another yorkie, Chloe who is just as sad and lost as I am. She had 4 years with him. I know that we will get better with time. Right now we are just taking one day at a time. Thanks again. |

| I understand and am so sorry for the heartbreak you are suffering with your loss of little Romeo. The pain becomes less with time and it will be replaced with all the good memories of the time you spent together. RIP little Romeo.

| I am so sorry about the loss of Romeo. I understand how painful it is without your little boy and how much you miss him. My sister had a Maltese named Romeo and a Bichon named Chloe that were raised together. I agree with the others about a new little one. I lost the light of my life, Ashley, in June soon before her seventeenth birthday. I know I won't be able to feel truly whole or happy until I bring another little one into my life. You could never replace Romeo, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to, but it will help to heal your heart. It will also help Chloe. When I lost my first Yorkie, I never thought I could love another one as much as her. I was very wrong, and when I brought Ashley and her sisters into my life, they completely stole my heart. All of them are now at the Rainbow Bridge together, but because of how much I loved them, I will bring another one into my heart and home as soon as I am able to. Lean on us here when you need help in coping with your loss. I've posted the following link before, but since you're new, you probably haven't seen it. A dear friend of mine sent it to me when we lost Ashley, and it really helped me. I truly hope that, with each new day it gets a little easier for you and that memories of the times you shared with Romeo comfort you and bring you peace.

| I am so very sorry for your loss. It is a difficult time, losing our furbabies is a heart aching experience. Taking one day at a time and soon the cherished memories will fill your mind and your heart, and you will know that they are never really gone, they live on in our hearts...Rest in Peace, Romeo
