| Oh, my heart hurts for her. Wow, I can't even imagine. What a terrible tragedy. I hope she can find peace in knowing her Jackson will be waiting in Heaven for her.

| Thanks again, everyone. I spoke to her last night and this morning and she seems to be doing "ok". Her strength is equal to mine x 1000. Her boyfriend put all of Jackson's belongings in a special place, hidden away out of sight. He bought her a laptop computer too. He just doesn't know what to do, but is trying to make her feel better.

| OMG! Karen, i am crying for your friend too!! I knew that you were preparing to take in her shi-tzu when she passed. I too believe that God took Jackson ahead so he would be there to greet her. He really needed to be there waiting for her. She would be so sad to arrive without her faithful little boy!! He would have grieved for her if she went before and that would be heartbreaking too see. You would not be able to make him understand why his mommy left him. Your friend will know that he is there waiting for her to arrive and they will be together in eternity!! As sad as it is, please assure her that God is preparing EVERYTHING for her to arrive, including her precious little baby!! BIG HUGS! |

| Really is incredible how things work out. She may not be at peace until she meets with Jackson again. She continually blames herself, which I imagine all of us would do. It's just awful that he was hit by a car. What a nightmarish way to pass on, and I think that is what she is struggling with. It's impossible for me to relay why I think this happened. Nobody wants to admit they will be going to heaven soon, and it's certainly not an easy thing to discuss.

| I know how you are feeling. While my husband "knew" his time was getting close, I found it impossible to discuss anything about dying. I just didn't want him to "give" up. At her age it would be especially hard to accept death in any form. I hope in time, she accepts that it wasn't her fault. Bless your heart, I know this is hard on you too! Sending hugs! |

| Thanks everyone. What I can't imagine is what her friend must be going through - the one who took Jackson to play with her puppy. She was doing such a good deed, allowing Jackson to spend some time playing, and not laying in the bed. I don't know the specifics of what happened, as I don't know this other person. I just imagine she is in a lot of pain too.

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | There just aren't words sufficient to express how sad this is . If I was your friend, all I would really want and need right now is for whatever I was feeling to be accepted and validated. It just is heartbreaking all around.

| Oh, Karen, I am SO sorry. For your friend and for you. Just to see a friend go through something like that is just heartbreaking. Things do happen for a reason and we never really understand why. I believe as many have said that her pupster will be waiting for her. After my foster, Ozzy, passed in December I was so heartbroken and did a lot of web searching for answers to something there was really no answer to. I ran across this site and it perfectly fit what had happened to him.....while it is not a story that matches your friend's story, perhaps these words from the story will help: "It is not of your timing". That rings in my head often now. Please do not let the title throw you....it is a good story. I Killed My Dog!

The post above says it beautifully. Jackson is helping God get everything ready for his mommy to join him when she's ready.
