| Thank you so much I lost my precious Eddie on Oct.3. It was a Sunday of course, and we couldn't contact our regular vet. We had him for over 14 years and had taken him all over the UK and Europe with us. He was my best friend. This information is so helpful. It's wonderful of you to take the time to post it. |

YT Addict | Thank you Anne, I cried through reading this but really needed the support right now. We lost our little one only a bit over a week ago and we are due to get another little one in late November. I was feeling guilty and overwhelmed and Gizzy always hated to see me cry. I just miss him so much but I know he would want us to share our love again. Thank you.

| Thank you so much for doing this post. I haven't been on YT in several months, until now because we lost our female last Thursday at 1:20am while traveling on vacation. I even started a thread before I looked at this post, asking how to detect if my male was having problems with the lost of his mate. I needed to cry but felt that after it be a week, I should be pulling myself together. But believe me, reading your words allowed the gate to open and I am still setting here crying as I type this. Everything you can feel, I think you covered, and you are right, I lost my Dad May 12th and the friends really did help us get through that but with Cabella, I have heard so many say, it was just a dog, as in get over it. But I was with her daily, she was like my child, even though I know ever so closely without it happening, what it feels like to lose one. This hurts just as bad. Not quite as strongly but close. I really do appreciate the fact that you would take the time to do this post. It has really been a huge help to me. Sharon and Joey |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Thank you for the advice. We are faced with making a decision with our 10mth old with osteosarcoma. How far should we let it go? I have a 13 yr old and a 10 yr old. Zoe is still playing with them but is beginning to sleep more. Doesn't seem to be in pain except for a lame hip & leg. Just taking it one day at a time. |

| Speaking from someone who just lost a family pet of 16 years, I want to thank you for bringing this post back around. There was some great information in it. And it is nice to know that my feelings are normal. My Yogi, family beagle of 16 yrs, passed on Saturday and I am still very emotional. Thanks for the suggestions on how to make it through this really sad time.

| I am so sorry for your loss of Yogi. I know what it is like to lose a beloved pet. We have lost so many over the last few years (they were senior puppy mill dachsunds that we had adoped through the dachshund rescue group - they were just supposed to be temporary fosters, but we ended up adopting them all over the years) But I know they are all together again at the Rainbow Bridge
