| I am so sorry for your loss. About 2 years ago, I lost a pup who was about 2 1/2 months to liver problems too. A little less than one month ago, I lost a pup that was 11 days old.. It is so tough to say good bye to someone/something you just met, but rest assured that your Sophie is resting in peace and no longer suffering.RIP Angel Sophie

| OMG.. I am so very sorry for you. Hugs. So Young! So Sad. So Unnecessary. I have many questions for you but now is not the time.. Liver Shunt is quite prevalent in this breed unless you Do Your Research on the Breeder. I am a firm believer in Quality Breeding for health. Some breeders only care about the money and Not the Quality of the Dog, i.e. bloodline and research of same! Again my heart goes out to you and my prayers for your healing will be said daily. Bless you. |

| Oh my heart goes out to you. I lost a baby when he was only 5 months old. I had no kids and he was my baby. Its so hard no matter the age to lose a baby. I was beyond devastated. My heart breaks for you. RIP sweet Sofie. Look after Mom, she needs you right now.

| I am so very sorry for your loss of Sofie. It only takes a moment to fall in love with these little ones. May the memories that you have of Sofie give you some comfort. Hugs.

| I am so sorry for your unexpected loss of your precious baby. The one thing I can say if there is anything to ease your pain is to stay on yt and talk it out. Share your hurt, pain, feelings and devastation. If there is anyone in the world that understands it is all the yorkie parents on yt. ![]() I had joined Yorkie Talk just a few weeks when my darling Rizzo passed away suddenly such as your baby. My husband and I were devastated and sharing it here and have people who reached out to us as they will to you will help you heal! Take good care of yourself and it is healing to cry |

| I'm so sorry to read your post. I'm sure you've probably read some information on liver shunt by now but what a horrible way to find out. I lost my yorkie two years ago. She too had never been sick but one evening started to throw up. I ended up taking her to her vet and after being given fluids seemed to be doing better. Then the vet told me to come in as she'd taken a turn for the worse. She had me take her to a more intensive care place and the tests they did showed her gall bladder was dying. Surgery cost $5000 with no guarantees. She was only 3 pounds and seemed so sick, that I just had to let her go to the Bridge. It was the day after her 6th birthday. Anyway, posting on the yorkie groups I belonged to really helped. I didn't get another as my situation changed and I'm not home the way I was when I first got Debbie but I hope you're able to get another. It seems that it really helps people feel better. Who can be sad with a puppy around? I hope you've seen the Rainbow Bridge story. That can be very helpful too. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. We had a liver shunt scare with our little guy as well in 2008. My fiance and I don't have any children either and we refer to our little ones as "the children" so I can really relate. It's amazing how quickly we fall head over heels in love with them and how they become the absolute center of our little family universe so quickly. And trust me they know it. I have no doubt that you opened your heart and give her every ounce of love you had it in. Take comfort in the fact that even though she passed on too soon she knew she was loved unconditionally, a part of your family and will always remain in your heart. God bless you and your little one. J. |
