I'm so sorry to read your post. I'm sure you've probably read some information on liver shunt by now but what a horrible way to find out. I lost my yorkie two years ago. She too had never been sick but one evening started to throw up. I ended up taking her to her vet and after being given fluids seemed to be doing better. Then the vet told me to come in as she'd taken a turn for the worse. She had me take her to a more intensive care place and the tests they did showed her gall bladder was dying. Surgery cost $5000 with no guarantees. She was only 3 pounds and seemed so sick, that I just had to let her go to the Bridge. It was the day after her 6th birthday.

Anyway, posting on the yorkie groups I belonged to really helped. I didn't get another as my situation changed and I'm not home the way I was when I first got Debbie but I hope you're able to get another. It seems that it really helps people feel better. Who can be sad with a puppy around? I hope you've seen the Rainbow Bridge story. That can be very helpful too.
