| Since you weren't there could Stormy have died of natural causes or are there marks on her neck? So many large dogs are such gentle animals and Stormy could have been a tease at the moment. I think the answer is knowimg the temperament of our dogs and yet things happen that you would never dream happen. Lets be gentle with the OP she has gone through so much with stormy and is in pain.

| Why??? Why would you tell someone who is heartbroken and coming here to share her loss with us that it is somehow her fault? Sometimes I just don't understand people. Why must you always just blurt out what is on your mind without even thinking about the other persons feelings? Why can't you say sorry and leave it to that? It is no ones fault. You can't predict when another dog or even a bigger sweet yorkie will just play too rough. I have to watch mine all the time because Pebbles who is 1 is only 4 lbs and Trixie who is 10 mo is about 11lbs and she is so dopey I'm afraid they will just play too rough. That is what happened here that's all. It's no ones fault. Please don't say anything if you don't have anything nice or consoling to say. To the OP I hope time will ease your pain. Stormy was all of our little sweet heart. We will miss her terribly

YT 500 Club Member | yorkie loss your baby is at rainbow bridge you should not beat yourself up it is not your fault everytime we loose our furkids we always think what if ?well a old saying we love them but god loves them more so let your baby rip and just know that it is in a better place guess what your sweet baby has wings and is playing and sliding on clouds with my little nico Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

| I was not home at the time, I had to go to the shop to drop my car off. She was NOT alone with a LARGE dog! My fiance was home here and sitting on the couch with both dogs. He got up to get something from the kitchen for our daughter which is just next to the living room and I don't know if Stormy jumped off the couch and was hurt on the floor or what. All I know is that they began to play as he was leaving the room, he was just getting something out of the toasted when he heard a yelp, when he went over to the other room he realized they were together on the floor and Stormy was laying down. She had NO marks on her body, she wasn't bleeding or anything like that. Maybe the dog jumped off the couch and landed on her, I don't know exactly 100%, I just know that sometimes when they would play my other dog would get a little to rough or clumsy, I would always be around to stop it. I don't know why someone is bringing up the fact of another dog being in danger in my home, I never mentioned ANYTHING about getting a second dog, I am grieving I don't want or am thinking of another puppy. I understand its dangerous to have a large dog with a small dog. It just so happens that this bigger dog is still an active puppy. She is only about 35-40 lbs which is not THAT big for a dog. But like someone else mentioned, this can happen with even a larger yorkie in the house, it can happen with any other kind of dog. It wasn't some kind of vicious attack otherwise this dog would be out very quickly. I still am contemplating about rehoming her but I just don't know what to do at this moment. |

I am very sorry for you and your family's loss. If your baby had no marks, it could be that she landed wrong trying to jump off the couch-that happened to my friend's yorkie and she passed too. It sounds like you guys were very caring parents to your baby, leaving the room for a second is something we all do. I have 2 bigger dogs as well, and we all watch them when they are together--but accidents happen. Hugs to you in your time of loss. Last edited by mk97; 07-14-2009 at 10:26 AM. | |

| I'm so very sorry for your loss of Stormy. It seems this sweet little girl could not catch a break. She is at the rainbow bridge and believe me there are plenty of happy dogs there greeting her with happy wags and kisses. She is running around and around like she did when she was a puppy! RIP sweep girl. I will miss hearing about you! Love Bailey and Chan
