I was not home at the time, I had to go to the shop to drop my car off. She was NOT alone with a LARGE dog! My fiance was home here and sitting on the couch with both dogs. He got up to get something from the kitchen for our daughter which is just next to the living room and I don't know if Stormy jumped off the couch and was hurt on the floor or what. All I know is that they began to play as he was leaving the room, he was just getting something out of the toasted when he heard a yelp, when he went over to the other room he realized they were together on the floor and Stormy was laying down. She had NO marks on her body, she wasn't bleeding or anything like that. Maybe the dog jumped off the couch and landed on her, I don't know exactly 100%, I just know that sometimes when they would play my other dog would get a little to rough or clumsy, I would always be around to stop it.
I don't know why someone is bringing up the fact of another dog being in danger in my home, I never mentioned ANYTHING about getting a second dog, I am grieving I don't want or am thinking of another puppy. I understand its dangerous to have a large dog with a small dog. It just so happens that this bigger dog is still an active puppy. She is only about 35-40 lbs which is not THAT big for a dog. But like someone else mentioned, this can happen with even a larger yorkie in the house, it can happen with any other kind of dog. It wasn't some kind of vicious attack otherwise this dog would be out very quickly. I still am contemplating about rehoming her but I just don't know what to do at this moment. |
