| I too, am so sorry to hear about Benji's passing. You sound like you were a terrific mom to him - gave him all the love and care you could. Do you have a humane society near you? Lots of times they have groups for people who have lost pets. Just an idea. If you want to, I would like to see a pic of him, too!! Do you have any other animals at home still? |

| I'm so sorry,x Hi there, I'm also new on here today. I just wanted to say sorry for your loss. It is truly one of the worst things I have ever had to experience in my life. The only advice I can give is to take each day at a time and think of all the good things about your time with your little best friend. If you want to cry, then cry. I think alot of people in society think that because it was a dog, that we have no right to grieve for them in the same way we do humans, but that is so not true. I too beat myself off for times where I had told Timmy off but these were insignificant compared to all the love I gave to Timmy when he was alive. I even thought, "What if I had waited another day? Maybe he would have picked up." However the fact of the matter was that he was suffering, and that was something I never wanted him to have. He was confused and scared and I did the last, final, kind thing to help him and show him how much I loved him, even though it caused me so much pain.......That was in October 2008, under 3 weeks before his 16th birthday, and only coming up for 8 months ago and I miss him terribly. I speak to him everyday and I still cry about him, but I know, like your little friend, he will be waiting at Rainbow Bridge for me. Keep busy if you can and keep focussing on the good times,x |
