| ![]() Every person is different but here's what is right for me. (my belief).... I have never "replaced" any of my dogs. Each one is as individual as my children. When my Roscoe died I got Gracie within 2 weeks. She is very different. Fro came 1 week later and then Blah came 3 weeks later. Roscoe is in my heart forever.

| ![]() ai'm so sorry for your loss. I had to make the difficult decision to let my 13 year old Chipper go last March. I loved that little boy as much as I love my 4 children. Since my kids are grown he was my baby and I was lost when he was gone. I cried every day for weeks until I decided that the only way I was going to move on was to find a new baby. The search was on and I found a breeder that was going to have a litter in a few weeks. I told her I wanted a boy and gave her a deposit. The breeder called on April 29 and told me the puppies have arrived. Three little girls. She said that I was the only person who gave her a deposit so I could have one of the girls or she had another dog who was due the following month. I told her I would take a girl. So Piper came into my life. She is so different from Chip yet I love that little girl just as much as I did Chip.

| ![]() For all of you that read my really long novel I wrote earlier ![]() I know the right baby is out there for us. Maybe it isn't the right time yet, I don't know. I found my Sophie Bear from an ad in the paper- a husband had bought her from a breeder in West Texas for his wife for Christmas 2007. They were both in med school, and quickly learned they did not have the time for her. I answered the ad the first day he posted it, and bought her two hours later on January 3rd. She turned out to be a perfect, smart, healthy 3 pound ball of cuddles. So now, I am learning everything there is to know about yorkies! I had no idea how different all of the puppies could be, and how many breeders there are out there! I am nervous about buying one sight unseen off of the internet, but I see many of you on here have had great success with that. If anyone has any advice for me, please send me a message- I am all ears ![]() Back to the original topic- I have had a few friends and family make some less than friendly comments about wanting a new puppy so soon. I am sure they have my best interest at heart, but ultimately it is my husband, son and my decision. |

| ![]() Sorry that pup wasn't the one for you, sounds like you made a good move to not take it on the condition it was in. When I lost my first dog, I waited years to get the next one. When my second one died I waited forever again, my third one I bought had a seizure the weekend I brought it home!!! That yorkie only lived 3 more months, but what a joy he was while here.. I only waited one month to replace him, and JD was from the same litter.. I was very brave there. The Breeder and Vet, were both kind and FOR ME, thru all of this. I wouldn't trade JD for another.(he was from a good breeder and good akc lines) Good luck on making your choices, I hope there are blessings for you at the end of finding that new yorkie..
