Thanks Yolanda for being here for me today. The decision was difficult, but I know it was the right thing to do. If you would've felt how he was breathing as I did when I held him, there was no doubt what had to be done. Seeing how he was breathing was heart-wrenching enough, feeling it was heart-breaking. I knew it was time to let him go. I am so thankful for everyone here helping me through this today.

Rose I am so sorry about Alfie, he lived a great long life and I know he had the best mommy of all...but it still so hard, I have one that is in bad heath also and I know my days are numbered with Peanut, my heart goes out to you...

Rose. I am very sorry about Alphie. My family and I had to do the same thing five months ago. Our Newman was 10 yrs. old. He had cancer that was operated on and returned aggressively only two months later. We had other testing done and they found a mass on his liver. I know how hard this is for you. Like you even knowing didn't make it any easier. We did the same thing that you did. We got the call on a Thursday about the mass and our vet brought us in Friday morning before they opened and we put our boy to rest. We had Newman from a little pup. I'm so very sorry. My parents were over and we were just talking about Newman tonight and I just broke down crying. It's such a hard thing to do, but take comfort as I did that you were there holding him and not a stranger. Elaine

Rose, I am so sorry for your loss and I am sure that Alphie continues to feel your love ...there at Rainbow Bridge. It is so hard to lose a precious pet and even harder when you need to make that all important decision for them. I believe in my heart that they let us know when it is time and then they trust us to do this for them .... as difficult as it may be.
We grieve with you, as do many YT members who are reading this now.
