| Question for Iowa Members Has anyone heard of Heather Lane Kennels, Leota Pilling, in Mediapolis, Iowa? Her name is on the "Prisoner of Greed" web-site. Thanks. Sheila |

| - nope I haven't heard of her. How is her name on the Prisoners of Greed website? Is it in a pdf form linked to them? I round a breeder that way - and it seems to just be a list of folks who are licensed by the USDA - which in itself can mean puppymill, but I also know some folks are confused and think they have to be licensed to breed dogs. I've seen people come on here asking how to get licensed. Were you thinking about getting a pup from her?

| Yes, her name is in a pdf. from linked to them. After doing further research, I found a USDA report 2000, she had 63 dogs, 10 puppies. Also, found another report from pet shop puppies, that she had sold a Cairn Terrier to a pet shop. No, I wasn't considering buying a puppy from her, but her name was on someone's puppy's paper as the co-breeder and I was curious. I wsih people wouldn't ask to get licensed, because they are automatically presumed to be a puppy mill. (which in this persons case, she is, or at least, was.) Thanks for replying. Sheila |
