| You are right about this Illinois weather. After living in Arkansas for the past 3 winters, this is really something. November a blizzard with 18 " of snow, and now all this cold artic blast. Makes me want to return to Arkansas and the warmer weather. My little yorkies just don't know what to make of the snow. They never saw any before...... Spring is on the way...... That is what I keep telling them.

| I don't know how cold it was this weekend and today - in the lower 20s I guess. We've got so much snow that you have to pull halfway into the intersection to see if you can cross. There is no place left to put it. I want Spring too! |

| Hi, to Kewanee Yorkie owner.... We came through your pretty city yesterday. Didn't have my little babies, as they are at the kennel this week end. Glad to hear others in this area have yorkies. They are something else. we have two brothers and it has been a hoot raising them..... One has agression problems with food and becomes bored and will chew his hair off his leg. The vet is working on this problem now.... gave him puppy prozac but that is not working. We still have the problem. But we love them and hope it gets worked out. You will find a lot of info on here and some really helps.

| IT'S GREAT TO HEAR FROM OTHERS NEAR BY. HOW DID YOUR YORKIES DO WITH ALL THE SNOW? I HAD TO ACTUALLY SHOVEL MOST OF THE BACKYARD FOR MINE...BELIEVE IT OR NOT? IT HAS NOT BEEN A FUN WINTER, BUT I HAVE SEEN IT WORSE. THEN THERE'S THE ISSUE OF HOW DO YOU GET THE SNOWBALLS OFF HIS LEGS AND BELLY? HAIRDRYER? WARM WATER? OR JUST LET IT MELT OFF ALL OVER THE HOUSE... |

I used to get it from my groomer but the one I use now doesn't have it so I order it.

| Thanks "Tinks Mom", I'll have to check that out! Do you use it before he goes out, or do you apply it directly on the snowballs themselves? |

| spray it on their fur/hair before they go out. Just give a good spray over the areas where the snow sticks the most. Or all over if you like. |

I think I'd get a 2nd opinion on putting your pup on meds. Maybe work with a trainer - a good trainer prior to using drugs. Sometimes it's just a matter of understanding why the aggression happens and alleviating the stressors. Good luck!
