				 | Are they beginning to love each other? Ok, he came home Sunday morning at 3am. Today it is Tuesday at 12noon about. They are cuddling on nap time together, and now sharing as chew bone dont know how long this will last. But Scoobydo seems to be settling down a bit. He is still very timid but today not acting as scared, head is a bit up today, eary very erect and pointed. He is chewing the chew bone, that bandit chewed, then bandit took his bone and is chewing it, now he is chewing the one bandit was chewing. Took him a while but he realizes he is ALLOWED to have these things. Poor thing, I suspect he was neglected and also deprived of toys and chew things . I hope I can make a difference Last edited by soccbydo; 10-23-2007 at 02:24 AM. |

				 | Sounds like they're learning to get along - yay! I got my two when they were both puppies but Hoku was here a couple weeks before we got Kalani and it did take them several days to decide they liked each other - now they are inseparable

				 | I'm so happy they're getting along. Glad things have calmed down for you. When we first got Sugar we were told she didn't like toys, and she didn't play with anything here for almost 2 months. We finally found a squeaky hedgehog and she loves it! She's actually ripped a seam out of it so it's up for repairs. I thought she didn't like to play, I just hadn't found the right toy for her yet. Now she loves any plush squeaky toy she can get her paws on.

Yes, I realized this and he acts very very frighten when ever I bring my hands near his face he bows down and retracts , to me this indicates he was lashed and the hands which are supposed to produce food, treats and LOVE is to him an enemy . How on earth do I get past this | |

				 | [I] am so glad things are getting better. My trainer told me that when we reach down at a little dog, like putting his leash on, it would be comparable to a 7 story building bending down at us, which I too would find frightening. He will get better as he grows to trust you more; but maybe you should squat down to be closer to his level before you reach for him at first. Hope things just keep getting better for all of you

				 | I think they are way ahead of schedule for getting along considering their start. Good job! Your new one may never completely stop shying away from sudden hand movements but the longer he goes without being hit or shoved the less it will happen. Plus those treats are real incentives aren't they? |
