| ![]() WOW.... gobsmacked at how rude some people can be ![]() You have done the right thing, besides its your decision and as long as Joey is getting better and is well cared for thats all he needs right now. You as people need time out and yes you need to have a happy future and it helps if you can get on with inlaws! you are certainly not the ones that need to look back at what they typed and feel 'shame'!

| ![]() It is a big relief to know that little Joey is doing so well! Because of your story, I had a talk with EVERYONE in my family about the fragility of these puppies... They didn't understand until I showed them your threads! Thank goodness for Joey. Have a great time on your cruise. I understand how significant others' parents can be. ![]() |

| ![]() Enjoy your cruise, your time with your fiance and your future in-laws, and be rest assured that your little man is in the BEST of hands with your Mom watching and spoiling him. I am soooo happy to hear he is doing so well and that you did go on vacation with your future family. Joey will be happy to see you when you return and will be even happier in knowing that his Mommy and Daddy are doing great together as well. It's always good to keep things in perspective no matter how hard it is to tear yourself away. You made all the right choices so ENJOY YOURSELF and each other!!! Kisses and Hugs to Joey in his continued recovery and to your Mom for being such a terrific, caring Mom and Grandma!!

| ![]() I don't think Heather meant it the way it came off....she is VERY caring for her babies and probably wasn't aware of the whole story...I know she is a good person and she only saw one part probably

Did you see anywhere, where I said "just kidding"? Im dead serious. Just because I have to be tolerant of someone, doesnt mean I have to agree with everything they do and praise them for it. I am intitled to my opinion, and in my opinion, a mother shouldn't leave her baby in a time of need. I personally, would never, ever leave my babies (ones I birthed or yorkies) in a time of need. And im sorry but, responsibilities to her fiance and family? A cruise is a responsibility? Correct me if im wrong, but isnt owning a yorkie a responsibility?

Administrator | ![]() We can not allow any posts that request donations for medical bills. If you want to directly donate to an individual, that is your choice and is fine by us. We are not against that at all and you may donate to whatever cause you choose. But for potential liability concerns, and the fact that we can not possibly verify every individual's medical situation is legitimate, we will not allow such posts here on YorkieTalk. We also discussed this exact topic several months back: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...3&postcount=53 |

I don't think this is fair. I'm sure this was a very difficult decision. Joey is in very capable hands. I'm sure that the last thing this person needs is someone judging her. We really don't know what her situation is and I think it is our job to help support her not attack her.

| ![]() So very relieved to hear how well Joey's doing. I also understand the decision you had to make. Who knows, maybe the cruise will be the perfect opportunity to turn his parents into "dog people" or to at least help them understand your feelings about the sweet baby. No doubt, he's all you'll be talking about and as they come to care about you, once they meet him, perhaps the feelings will carry over to your baby as well. Maybe a couple months from now, we'll be hearing about how they want a Yorkie now... Positive thoughts and best wishes... Dana |

Im not attacking her. Im stating my opinion. Just as you have the right to state yours. You dont have to agree with it.

I guess I just don't think it's right to make someone feel guilty when they are going through a very traumatic experience. This isn't about opinions, it's about being compassionate about someone's feelings. I am not trying to argue, I just don't think it's right to judge someone's decisions without knowing the details of her situation.

| ![]() Alicia, I know that was a very tough decision to go ahead on the cruise - it must have been hard enough without people here making you feel that much worse. You are very lucky to have such a caring Mom to take care of your baby. I am so thankful he is doing better - I have really been thinking about it since I read your first post about it. People, this is a personal decision for Alicia! Outside of this forum, most of us don't know Alicia and we don't know her Mom either. I'm sure she wouldn't have left Joey if she did not 100% know her Mom would take the best care of him possible! Let's not make an already tough decision harder on her! (I hope you have a great time on the cruise - try and enjoy it!)
