| Awww poor baby! When I first got Jamie he cried everytime I walked out of the room and I was DEVASTATED. As soon as I got out the door I started crying, BUT persistance paid off. Everytime I leave the house I pick Jamie up and give him cuddles and say "Mom's gotta go now. I'll be back in a little bit." or "Time for work, Mom will see you at lunch." That way he knows that I am leaving but I will DEFINITELY be back. However, since Jamie and I have such a strict routine if I am even just hour an hour late getting home from work he has destroyed his playpen and won't have anything to do with me for hours. Non dog/Yorkie people don't believe me but I swear it is just like having a baby.

LOL Now this one has not gone to that extreme cuz I contain him in his little room which is bright, cheerful and has all the things he needs and more, including music to drown his crying. I honestly think he stops once he realizes I am not at the door, then proceeds to get on bad when he hears me coming.. I dont thik I wan to attempt the mommy is leaving, I am afraid to do this for the simple reason he will be peeoed at me when I come back and wont speak to me for hours.

Lordie do. Well I will take mine on vacation even if it is overseas, I have already checked into that. I wont leave them ever alone or kennel them. My husbands ex wife will also take care of them should I have to go hospital or something like that,or my mom in law. But I will never leave them totally alone, I will die before they do LOL

| she was left here with my son who still lives with us and my daughter and friend also came over to play with the dogs. no way would i ever leave them with someone who they dont love and know. at my house there is 99% of the time someone here she just cant handle it when i leave her. the only reason we left her at home this time is we dive almost every day all day when we go to the keys, plus its not really a place where i would want her to go.

No, it will not help too much, but it will lessen YOUR guilt. I have 2 boys. They both had seperation anxiety when they were younger... they are not so bad anymore, but I had 2 of them barking when I was not home, enough to get me written up with my condo association 2x! They both chewed everything they could and they both won't housebreak! It has been a long, hard road for me. However, they are 2 now, the seperation anxiety has passed pretty much, but now I have two attention mongers who are jealous of each other and anything else I touch if its not them. Sometimes I wish I only had 1 pup, but I could never EVER give one up and I love them both sooo much, but be prepared for a HANDFUL. Now that is just MY experience... Im sure not all pups are the same and some will say getting a 2nd made all the difference in the world. The only thing it did for me was alleviate my guilt for leaving one alone while Im at work and giving me 2 little warm bodies to love (which I do love them both to pieces) but it DEFINATELY doubled (maybe tripled) the work for me!
