| People always joke about Yoda being ferocious, but of course he's not. They say things like 'oh, you better keep him on that leash!' or 'no, don't attack me, please' while smiling of course. |

| i think it is just common curtesy to respect other peoples pets, and especially listen to there owners..... i just got my new puppy and a friend of mine put him down with her dog and her dog is quite a bit bigger, used to be abused (so may be agressive?), and i asked nervously if she has been around any other small dogs or puppies...... she said no! well needless to say i snapped my toby right up off teh ground and held him in my lap for the rest of teh visit! I think people just dont REALIZE how much a yorkies personality and temperment are DIFFERENT from any other breed.... I actually went down to mexico a long time ago and i had a cairn terrier, we had a sign too (in english and spanish) and some federales just walked up to our camp!!! ToTo ( that was his name) went nuts and tried to attack them!!!, they were shoving my dog away with the points of their GUNS!!! ......... what can i say though, some people jsut dont get the pet courtesy thing..... |

| i totally agree, i hate the example parents set for their children! because ive seen parents do this right in front of their kids it is always prudent to ASK beforehand, and DO NOT take offense if the answere is "no you can not pet him"...... lol..... youre yorkie sounds very devoted though, i felt so much safer with my old dog because she could read personalities really well, isnt it amazing the things they alert you too ? |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | yea kayko at the stage where he barks at bags in the street so i cant go by him yet but brownie if he dont like you forget it you dont come in the house most of the time hell bark at you when your out side but when you come in hell give you a toy a play with you he has different barks for certain people like when he hates you and want to kill you he have this deep growl bark when he just doosnt like you and is warning you he just barks or just growls when he barks playful he wants you to say hello i dont even have to get up anymore i just listen to his bark to know what hes barking at oh and he also has a different bark for dogs and cats and little animals outside the house and he is very devoted hes not like those snapy yorkies he just dont like anyone hittng or raiseing there hands he would never bite me ive been called greedy, nasty, rude cause i wouldnt let someone or someones child touch him sometimes ill yell at someone cause there little baby will walk up tp him and got o pet him and im like no hes not nice i say it nice to the kid the parent dont watch there children so i tell at the parent i know what you saying you should teach you rchild to ask first then if they say its ok give the dog the palm of your hand never go pet there head first ! let them smell you sorry for writing so much but this is a reall problem in my mind its real dangerous you know what i mean |

| i do know what you mean... no one goes up to a mother and takes her baby out of her arms to play with, and even the same with other older children.... thats what my toby is to me, he is like my child.... i have been called "anal" and a "bitchy" because i want my baby to remain safe... i couldnt imagine if eh was agressive and people did this i would probably freak out too... there are a lot of pet owners in teh world, but there are even more people that dont have a clue (and then there are those irrisponsible pet owners that dont have a clue either), thats what the lady with the pom reminds me of... lol..... if you do end up hitting her, take a picture so we all know what happens if you mess with brownies mama. |

| Thats funny because before anyone pets Mia they always ask me if she'll bite?!? She's only 2 lbs! Maybe the tiny ones people justasociate with biting? Oh well, they stick their hand out and all she does is shower them with kisses! |

| They do that same thing to Toto!! I just look at them and smile and say .... "No ... but she will lick you to death"!! Had a lady come up to me one day and say "Is that real"?? Wanted to say "No, maam, I'm just childish"!! Thank God for "Southern Manners"!!

| OMG I say the same thing Bettyeanne! She'll lick you to death! Even the drive-thru guy at Wendy's asked if she bites! But other times some people are rude and will try to take her from me without even asking! I have had to turn away from people and say I dont think so! They may think I'm possessive but I doubt they would think that if they dropped her on her head! |

| Yeah Brit - I agree I get very worried when people want to cuddle Gizzie as she's small too. What hurts me now though is that Gypsy Rose used to get all the attention before and now she doesn't !! Both ours (and every dog we have had are/have been so friendly!! thankfully!!) - I presume that when people ask if they bite that they are joking or at least I laugh LOL!! Ana xx |

| BT [before Toto], I was a totally different person ... couldn't say "no"! Now, AT [after Toto] I need one of those little toddler shirts that say "My Name is NO NO!" on the front!!! I learned in a hurry that evidently people are just thoughtless! I am constantly amazed that people will ask to hold her ... I have to say no most of the time because she is such a little "leaper"! Not as bad as she used to be, but, she would just suddenly shoot out of your arms like a little missle! Guess I will always hold her with a finger around her little front leg!!
